Miracles Summary

Back on Lusitania, Miro is reunited with his family. Again, because of relativity, one month has elapsed for him since he left Earth but 25 years have gone by for his family. His mother, Novinha, is over sixty, wrinkled and grey. His sister Ela is now in her forties and is unable to hide her pity and concern when she looks at him. His brother Quim is now an ordained priest, a missionary responsible for converting more than a dozen forests to Christianity and baptizing them. His brother Olhado, with his mechanical eyes, now a proud father of six stands with his arm around a beautiful wife. Miro tries to imagine how his wife is able to live with her husband's disability and is immediate ashamed, wondering how he can expect them to look.....
