The Lusitania Fleet Summary

Qing-jao, now 16 years old, has grown into a very accomplished and self possessed young woman. In addition to her studies of language and arts, she has been working on developing the same sort of talent she witnesses in her father: the ability to defer the gods' penance. She notices her father, who is very strong, can postpone his obedience until he is in private. At first, even delaying a few minutes is agony, but she gets better with time. The only obstacle between her and full womanhood is that she must first fulfill a woman's task. She goes to her father in order to receive hers.
