Jane Summary

For several days the twinned ships have been making their way back to Lusitania. Valentine and Jakt have moved into Miro's ship. Plikt, a family friend and former tutor to Valentine and Jakt's children, as well as a former student of Ender's, has also installed herself in the ship though she seems to take a back seat, at first.

Following many discussions on Lusitania and its inhabitants, Miro begins to lecture on philotic technology. As it turns out, his physical limitations are such that he cannot possibly address the subject without Jane's help. Through a transmitter-receiver in his ear, given to him by Ender, his stepfather, Miro is able to communicate directly with Jane, who is then able to transmit MIro's image from a computer screen and have his voice sound from the speakers.
