A Meeting Summary

We are introduced to Valentine Wiggins and her husband Jakt who are on their way from their home planet of Trondheim to rendezvous with Miro, Valentine's brother's stepson, from the planet Lusitania. While Valentine and Jakt are over fifty and sixty years of age respectively, there is still a great deal of sexual chemistry between them. Each teases the other about getting old, but Jakt particularly seems to be showing signs of age, breathing heavily even while moving normally about the ship. As an effect of being in close quarters on the starship with their children, friends and crew, the couple has been abstinent since leaving home. Valentine has been busy writing subversive political essays against the Starways Congress under the pseudonym 'Demosthenes.' Congress passed a resolution to send a fleet of ships.....
