Chapter 26 Summary

Edgar finally allows Cathy to visit with Linton, in between both properties. Ellen goes with Cathy and finds Linton much closer to Wuthering Heights than he had promised. Linton is in much worse health than when they had last seen him. He is so sick that he cannot concentrate on anything that Cathy says. Cathy wishes to leave but he begs her to stay explaining that he is fearful of his father. He tells her to tell Heathcliff that he was in good spirits and was looking very healthy. Cathy agrees to stay awhile longer and Linton doses off. When he awakes Cathy reluctantly agrees.....
