Chapter 15 Summary

It is now a week later. Mr. Lockwood is feeling better and recounts what Nelly has told him of her story since she had last left off. Nelly carries the letter from Heathcliff to Catherine but does not give it to her until three days later, when Edgar and the rest of the house leave for church. Heathcliff, as he promised, is waiting outside in the garden. Catherine has a glaze to her eyes that will not allow her to focus on anything nearby. She looks lost as her mental illness is getting the best of her. After reading the letter, Nelly can tell that she has not comprehended anything. Nelly has to explain that Heathcliff wants to see her. Before she can finish explaining, Heathcliff enters the house of his own accord.....
