On her third day of fasting, Catherine asks for some water and food. Nelly brings her water and toast, which she finishes quickly. Catherine throws a temper tantrum. She is acting crazy and is furious that her husband is not worried for her. She is talking nonsense and it turns out that she has a fever. Edgar passes by the room and is mad that he has not been alerted to her illness but no one had known that she was sick since she had locked herself.....
