Chapters 21-25 Summary

In Chapter 21, Richard emerges from the narrows, only to discover that he has lost Kahlan. Using the night stone, he follows her footprints back. He discovers that the final member of the quad is stalking Kahlan. Richard kills him with the Sword of Truth, and suffers great pain for it. Richard finds Kahlan and they go back through the pass in the boundary. Because they are following their own tracks, it is a faster journey, although they are still tired when they emerge into The Midlands. They decide to visit the hostile Mud People. Time is limited and that is their best chance to find someone who knows where the final box is.
