Chapter 56, Off with the Old Love, and On with the New

Roger had heard Cynthia was back from London and came over to talk about their engagement. While he was waiting for her to come home he saw her out the window in the garden talking to Mr. Henderson he left before she could come in. He knew she was engaged now.
