Chapter 21, The Half-Sisters

Mr. Osborne spent a lot of time talking with Mrs. Gibson. He would talk of absences from the Hall, and Molly couldn't help but think of the secret. Mr. Osborne didn't act like a married man.

The Miss Brownings had invited Molly and Cynthia to their house for tea and a round game afterwards.

When they arrived Roger was also there. When Roger was introduced to Cynthia he spent most of the rest of the evening talking to her.

When the girls got home they found out that Mr. Preston had come by for another visit. The man who was managing the Hollingford property is getting old and they are having Mr. Preston take care of it as well as the Ascombe property.
