Chapter 11, Making Friendship

Molly was asked to go to the Towers to meet her soon to be new step mother and have tea with Lady Cumnor. When Lady Cumnor meets Molly she suggests that Molly go back with Mrs. Kirkpatrick to Ashcombe until the wedding. Molly tells her she would like to have this time with her father before the wedding.

Chapter 12, Preparing for the Wedding

Mr. Gibson gives Mrs. Kirkpatrick money to pay for the wedding plans and to get Cynthia there in time for the wedding. He then calls on the Brownings to ask if they will not only let Molly stay with them until the wedding but also if they will help get his house in order before his new wife comes home.
