Chapter 6- 10 Summary

Chapter 6, A Visit to the Hamleys

Molly arrives at the Hamley's she reads poetry with Mrs. Hamley, who is always a bit ill, and talks about Mrs. Hamley's sons, Osborne and Roger, who are away at school.

Chapter 7, Foreshadows of Love Perils

Miss Eyre, Molly's governess,has a nephew who has gotten scarlet fever. She needed to stay with him, so Mr. Gibson asked Mrs. Hamley if Molly could stay with her a while longer until Miss Eyre could get back. Mrs. Hamley was glad to have her stay but Squire Hamley on the other hand was not happy about it.
