Chapters 20-22 Summary

In chapter 20, Dallas and Peabody visit Trueheart in the hospital before meeting with Kenneth Stiles. While they are with Trueheart, Stiles wakes up and tells a nurse he needs to see Dallas so that he can confess. When Dallas arrives at Stiles' room she finds Stiles hanging from a noose made of bed sheets. While the officers struggle to get him down, Areena Mansfield arrives at the scene and cries out in horror.

After Dallas is assured that Stiles will live, Dallas meets with Areena, wondering if Areena believes Kenneth was going to confess to Draco's murder. Mansfield swears that Kenneth is not capable of murder and as a gentleman would never have put the murder weapon in her hand.

Dallas arranges with Nadine to do an interview about the case. Nadine is happy to have something to focus on other...
