chapters 17-20 Summary

Chapter 17:

It is three days before the opening of "Hold Me Closer". Will and Tiny are speaking again but the conversations are relatively trite and empty of any meaning. After precalc, Will meets Jane by her locker. Jane tells Will that Tiny and will have broken up. Will is stunned because Tiny just said everything was fine. Will is visibly upset.

Jane and Will play Scrabble at his house, during which they discuss their official dating status. Will has taken to putting notes containing poetry into Jane's locker each day.

Will writes a letter to Tiny but does not email it. Tiny still acts as if nothing is wrong. Tiny eventually tells Will that he and will have ended their relationship.

Will goes to the dugout to clear his head and think through everything that has been happening with Tiny. Will...
