Summary

In Chapter 31, “Darkness,” Benji wakes up to a bang on the cabin wall. Outside Benji discovers that someone has stuck a note to the door with a knife that says FAG. Ana wanders in the forest regretting what she has done. Peter shows up early at the Bearskin, telling Ramona what Richard said, and that he wants her to be his chosen board member. A phone call from Tails with the news about Benji interrupts their conversation. Word of the pictures of Benji and the teacher circulate the town. At home, Maya discovers them on her computer. She can trace the photos back to Ana because of the crack in her lens that shows up in the pictures. Outraged and hurt, Maya shows up at Ana’s and tells her she has no right to hurt other people.
