Summary

Chapter 35 - Kennedy leaves Lukas to go down to the containment cell to talk with Jared. Jared is weak and tells Kennedy that there is something he needs to tell her. He tells her that in his life there were three people that he’s ever loved, but now there are four. Jared wants to touch Kennedy but he’s afraid to hurt her. Kennedy tells Jared she trusts him and that Jared is not Andras and she must be crazy for falling in love with him. However, Kennedy trails off before saying she loves Jared, and when he asks why she trailed off Kennedy becomes flustered and says she shouldn’t have said it because saying she loves him out loud makes things real and she’s too afraid of losing him.
