NARN I HIN HURIN The Tale of the Children of Hurin: The Coming of Glaurung Summary

Turambar has now lived with the woodsmen for three years. Other than the occasional band of orcs, this time is passed in peace. He is settling into his new marriage with Niniel, and they are expecting their first child together. Just as Truambar thinks all is well, news comes to the village that Glaurung is on the move. While some think that he is on his way back to his master, Truambar believes that he is heading for the village. Glaurung is in fact heading towards Ephel Brandir. He has long been aware of a pocket of free men in this area, and he or Morgoth would not tolerate that. Morgoth did not want any living in his realm.....
