Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 Summary

In Chapter 7, the bear comes forward just as Denazen men arrive, and the bear begins to attack, allowing Dez and Kale an opportunity to flee. After running through the woods, they come to a mall, but they soon realize Denazen employees are not far behind. When confronted and told Marshall was worried for her, Dez admits to herself she wishes that were true, but that she also knows reality. After threatening to scream, the employee lets her go, but follows. Dez walks to a mall booth, and quietly asks the clerk to call security, as she heard the men in suits talking about a bomb. When security arrives to detain the Denazen men, Kale and Dez quietly sneak away, and head to a park to lay low. Kale describes Denazen to Dez, and explains that while he was caged...
