Chapters 11 and 12 Summary

Bobby and the blind girl get on the elevator. Bobby has some concern about getting crushed on the elevator, but realizes that everyone crowds to the other side when they see the blind girl with her walking cane. Bobby observes how Alicia gets around using her cane to guide her. Even though they live in opposite directions, Bobby offers to continue walking with Alicia. Alicia thinks that Bobby is naked when Bobby tries to push her out of the way of a boy riding a scooter and Alicia feels Bobby's rib cage. She accuses him of being a creep, but then he admits to her that he is invisible. Alicia doesn't believe him until she asks a stranger if the guy standing next to her is taller than her or not.
