Summary

In Chapter 14, Lo tried not to panic. She fought down her urge to drink by pacing the room. She called Nilsson and told him that the mascara was gone. She asked why they would have taken the mascara if they did not have something to hide. He promised to come and see her in her room. Inside her room, Nilsson told Lo that he had spoken to Ben Howard. Lo argued Ben could not help with the investigation because he had been playing poker. Nilsson said that Ben had told him about the burglar in Lo’s apartment and that she had not been sleeping well. Ben had additionally told Nilsson that Lo took antidepressant medicine that was not supposed to be taken with alcohol.
