Summary

In Chapter 4: “The Wee Free Men,” Tiffany saw the cat, Ratbag, on the way back to the farm. The cat had caught something and Tiffany threw something to make him let it go. The voices of the Nac Mac Feegles continued in the bushes.

Tiffany offered the toad something to eat and drink and the toad told her that a fairy godmother had turned him into a toad. The toad then wondered if he was ever human to begin with or if he was a toad all along. Tiffany heard a voice outside the window and there she found a Nac Mac Feegle trying to impersonate a bird so that he could trap Ratbag.
