Chapters 17-20 Summary

In Chapter Seventeen, Isis and Osiris walk along the Seine in Paris discussing this world they had created and the other failed worlds that had preceded it. They come across Zephaniah, the Witch of Endor. She has spotted them and calls them over. She knows about the plans of these two that she calls "petulant children." They plan to undo the past. She at first opposed it, but later realized others would help keep the balance between destroying the past and keeping it. That was until these two found Dr. John Dee. He is out of control, and his actions threaten every Shadowrealm. Looking into the future, Zephaniah sees Dee safe, the ruler of this Shadowrealm.
