Chapters 9-12 Summary

In Chapter Nine, Marethyu is showing the island of Danu Talis to Scathach, Joan of Arc, Saint-Germain, Palamedes, and William Shakespeare. When they act confused, he explains they have stepped back in time ten thousand years, before the Fall. He explains that the island must sink; if it does not, the world as they know it will not exist. The Elders working under Isis and Osiris have been plotting to save Danu Talis, and Marethyu tells them that they must prevent this from happening. He knows this to be true, because Abraham the Mage told him that is how it is to be. Suddenly, a blue electrical charge is sent coursing through Marethyu's body, and Vimanas, saucer-shaped metal discs, appear. Scathach recognizes these vehicles as belonging to the Anpu; they are all in trouble.
