Summary

In Chapter 12, the church was packed with the Judge’s friends and colleagues as well as powerful people with whom he was acquainted. One eulogy was given by Nakita Poole, now a doctor, who was the son of a troubled family whom the Judge had gotten to know. The Judge helped Nakita get accepted to Yale. Nakita indicated how much he was going to miss the Judge’s friendship. Through the course of the funeral, Ray was distracted by thoughts of the money.

During lunch, Ray learned that Harry Rex had been taking the Judge to the casinos once a week. Forrest complained that was what had happened to his inheritance. Harry Rex indicated that the Judge was actually a good player.
