Almondine Summary

Almondine gets older, and misses Edgar. She knows he is gone. She wants to go and look for him, but is too old to do it. She wanders out into the road as a car comes up the hill.

Almondine Analysis

Almondine has a tragic end. While looking for Edgar, she is hit by a car. The loyalty and devotion of Almondine to both Gar and Edgar has remained unchallenged to her death. Likewise, the loyalty between Edgar and Trudy, as well as Edgar and Essay, has remained unchallenged.
