Summary

In Chapter 33, the time frame returns to November of 1980, the same day that Sara left her son in the car while she went inside a house to have one last tryst with her lover. Mathias was bored and got out of the car. He thought about the way the boys had thrown snowballs at him and teased him because he had no nipples. The doctor said it was hereditary. His mother said her father had no nipples but Mathias had seen a picture of him with no shirt on and knew she was lying. He decided to make a snowman so he would have someone at whom he could throw snowballs.
