Summary

Flavius and Justin carry on Paulinus' work and when three brothers join their group it appears that they will soon have enough men to be a Legion. Justin adds a gladiator whom he found at an amphitheatre. The gladiator is now free but has nowhere to go and no work to do so Justin includes him in their growing Legion. Flavius and Justin travel to Calleva where they buy weapons for the men, selling Aunt Honoria's second opal bracelet to pay for them. While in Calleva, they learn that Constantius' ships have been spotted coming into Britain. They also encounter Cullen being chased by a group of Saxons and Flavius and Justin rescue him by going to Aunt Honoria's house. She hides them in the hypocaust where fires are kept burning in...
