Chapter Seven Summary

When Rose wakes, she see a luminous being who raises a bow and aims the arrow at Rose asking if she wishes her to shoot. Rose tells her she will go on. At this moment, Rose hears Ombrine calling her telling her they must go to town. She believes this is a reward for not dying. She expects to find Elise in town. Once in town, Ombrine sends Rose to search for people to help in the garden. She finds an old lady in a tavern who tells her that Elise is out back. When Rose goes where the lady directs her, she finds herself in a cemetery. A purple rosebush grows on her gravesite where the two flowers sent by Rose must have taken root. The knowledge of the death of Elise is the final crack in Rose's broken heart...
