Summary

In Chapter 21, the narrator describes how Pete and Liza met at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis. Liza took Pete to meet her parents on their second date. They began an active sexual relationship on their third date. Her drove her to Clanton to meet his family and see the farm. He told her that he did not intend to be a farmer.
