Summary

Oscar remains in the shadows during each of the four house calls that Callie makes – each one revealing children who were very ill. One girl from the Miller family is unable to eat; a boy in the Collier family says he hurts all over; and another child went to sleep okay, but woke unable to hear or see. At the final house, Lord Baker grabs him by the shoulder and after establishing that he is Caleb’s hand, he insists that Oscar tell him he has to come to the City immediately as something is very wrong.
