Summary

Oscar finishes working, and hears Caleb locking up the shop for the night. He waits four hours before heading for the library. This time he looks through all of the subjects at his level and realizes that to find anything to do with magic, he would have to climb the ladder. He puts his fear aside and begins climbing, looking only at the books in front of him. He passes books on all subjects, until he finally he sees the kinds of books he is looking for. He selects ‘Magic and the Mind’ and as an afterthought, grabs one titled ‘Secrets of the Wizards’ as well. He climbs down carefully, and curls up in a chair.
