Summary

Oscar wonders what will happen if Caleb decides not to keep him. He is standing outside Caleb’s door trying to decide whether or not to knock when Caleb opens the door. Oscar tells Caleb that Wolf is dead and asks if he knows what happened. Caleb has ideas, he admits adding that Wolf was reckless and involved himself in matters that were beyond his abilities. Then Caleb admits that although he brought Oscar on as his hand, he requires him to step up now and help keep the shop running smoothly while he handled business on the continent and dealt with matters in his workshop.
