Part II—Pages 78-94 Summary

In Part II, pages 78-94, Trent leads Jason into the interrogation room. Every word Trent speaks and every movement Trent makes is calculated and part of the interrogation tactics and techniques that work to get the confession out of the perpetrator. Trent starts out questioning Jason about his life and then they move into specific questions about Monday, the day Alicia was murdered. While Trent reads Jason as being innocent, Trent also establishes that Jason like horror, science fiction and adventure books and movie, trying to show Jason's fondness for violence. Trent takes a break, leaving Jason in the room alone.
