Summary

Chapter 16 – Ceony returns to Thane’s house. Aviosky is relieved to see her. Ceony immediately goes to Thane and places his heart on his chest. His chest opens to receive it. She exchanges the paper heart for the real heart. She realizes Thane will be alright, and tells Aviosky to call a doctor. Dr. Newbold arrives to tend to Thane as well as Ceony’s injuries. Newbold reports that Thane is stable, and will wake on his own when his body is ready. Ceony promises to keep a watch over Thane and to notify Aviosky and Newbold of Thane’s condition. She also condenses the story of her travels, saying that she merely found Thane’s heart left behind by Lira. Aviosky tells Ceony to mark down the coordinates on a map. After Aviosky leaves, Ceony checks in on Thane, and then makes marks...
