The Search for Answers

From the first chapter in the book the main character, Elijah Baley, will be faced with vague facts and half truths. It will be his job to search out the answers not only to the murder but also to the way that Solaria works. Despite the fact that the people of Solaria understand that he is from a different world and wasn't raised the same way that they were, they seem to be unable to help him in understanding their culture.

Elijah will have help during his quest, but often his help causes him just as many questions. His first form of help while on the planet will be in the form of R. Daneel Olivaw.
