Summary

The following chapter changes the numbering system and reverts to Chapter 1. Saul was once again on Abbey Road in London but this time the date is June 2016. He is hit by a car while walking on the zebra crossing. Saul has a conversation with the driver that echoes many of the details of the conversation in the original Chapter 1, but not everything is the same. Saul’s narration becomes confused and the driver informs him that an ambulance has arrived.

In Chapter 2, Saul spoke with his father who had visited him in hospital, despite Saul’s belief that he was dead. His father told him that Saul had been seriously injured in the accident.
