Chapters 41-43 Summary

Richard warns Anita to stay calm. Jason fights the change, and Richard talks to him calmly. Edward takes a lock picking kit from his pocket and tries to open the cage. Carmichael, one of the hunters returns and demands Edward drop the tools. Carmichael provokes Jason, trying to force him to change. At first Jason begs for the hunter to kill him, but the change is too close and he stalks Anita. She is frightened but listens to Richard when he tells her to remain calm. As Jason gropes her, Richard starts to change and tells Jason that Anita is his. Jason growls but backs away, listening to the alpha male.

Titus returns with Kaspar who suggests blood would make Jason change. Titus calls Anita to the bars, and Aikensen cuts the stitches from her earlier wound. Anita sees Edward in...
