Chapters 31-36 Summary

Anita sits in her apartment with Jean-Claude and Richard. The vampire refuses to leave unless Richard does, knowing that for Anita, sex is a commitment. He is unwilling to give them time together until he has had the chance to date her as well. Anita is still shaken from finding the vampire in her apartment, having forgotten that she had invited him earlier. The fact that Richard could have been hurt worries her. The two men tell her that they have agreed not to kill each other and to explore each other's mutual powers. Anita questions that, but they are unable to explain it. Anita tells Richard to leave, and though he is hurt he agrees. Jean-Claude refuses to leave without a kiss goodbye. After some argument, Anita agrees, if only to get both men to leave.
