Grandfather's Basement

Brian and his cousin, Chad, would snoop around their grandfather's basement when the old man was away. They found pornography and sex toys and many strange objects that deeply impacted Brian.

Heritage Christian School

Brian attended Heritage Christian School where he was "brainwashed" to believe that the end was near. The seminars at the school consisted of highly-charged rhetoric warning about the suffering for children who denied Christ.

For Lauderdale

Brian and his family moved to Fort Lauderdale after finishing three years of high school in Canton, Ohio. He was not happy with the move and spent a lonely first year there writing and attending college.
