Summary

In Chapter 12, when Tina told Linda she had moved back in with Rick, Linda warned her that Rick would destroy both her and her baby. They met at a pub after work to talk more. During their conversation, Tina defended Rick and tried to convince Linda he had changed but arrived home to find Rick angry with her because she was an hour late. He blamed Tina for his anger and she apologized. After they made amends, Rick told her to quit her job. Tina convinced herself he was making her quit in order to take care of her. The next evening, Tina was at home on time and had dinner ready. This time it was Rick who was late. It was after ten when he finally came home. When he did arrive he smelled like alcohol.
