Silence

Megan Miranda demonstrates the power of silence by showing how different characters use silence differently to benefit themselves.

Silence leaves a lot of gaps to be filled in, as is symbolized by the "..." from Sadie, indicating she was going to send Avery a message and was in the middle of typing it, only to have it never be sent. As Avery says, "in the end, the silence was perfectly, tragically Sadie Loman, leaving everyone wanting more" (17).
