Chapters 15-21 Summary

Victoria is hired at Bloom full time in chapter 15. She and Grant also continue their relationship by taking long walks so she can photograph flowers for her dictionary. After months of not sleeping in the water tower, Victoria finally allows Grant to spend the night there again but she sleeps on the couch. While listening to stories of wives disappointed with their marriages at work, Victoria wonders why they don't give up.

But then she realizes that she now craves human touch and connection with Grant, causing her to wonder if she is changing from when she was a child. In an effort to help her find an off-season cherry blossom to finish her dictionary, Grant takes her to his mother's old studio.

She photographs a drawing of a cherry blossom then begins photographing Grant. Although she initiates their making love...
