Summary

The third part, Celebration Day, begins with a chapter entitled “The Morning of the Party.” Little Angel resents the way the family treats him as though he is not Mexican. La Gloriosa is up early and begins to get ready. She showers and, feeling her C-Section scar, begins to weep for Guillermo, the son she lost in a neighborhood shooting nearly ten years ago.
