Summary

The next chapter focuses on Simon's girlfriend, Juliette, who is currently unaware that Simon has been in an accident. She is an art student, working on a scale model of a labyrinth for school. She recalls quarreling with Simon the night before because she did not want him to leave to go surfing with his friends. She then remembers when she began dating Simon, how he had walked her to the train station after school and kissed her. After Juliette boarded the train, Simon rode his bike alongside it the entire route to her stop so that he could kiss her again when she came out of the station. She expects Simon to call her soon.
