Summary

Chapter 28 returns to Svanhild's first person narration as she and Solvi awaken the morning after Rorik's feast. Solvi is extremely hung over from Irish whiskey and the pair lie in bed for quite some time. Solvi tells Svanhild that he thinks that she is still half of his enemy. Svanhild begs him to tell her more of the situation but Solvi does not want her to fight him. That night, Rorik talked of Harald with great admiration, which makes Svanhild and Solvi wonder later that night when they are in bed why Rorik has not declared for Harald yet. Solvi asks Svnahild if she thinks Rorik support him in the fight against Harald.
