Summary

Solvi takes over the first-person narration of Chapter 10 as he listens to the crowd's shocked reaction to his confession. He tells the crowd that he wishes he had not cut Ragnvald and that he will repay Ragnvald with his share of the treasure and the wergild for his wound. Svanhild then tells Ragnvald that Olaf has admitted to paying Solvi for Ragnvald's death which prompts Ragnvald to accuse Olaf as well. Solvi tells him not to do this and that he will not like what follows this accusation. Ragnvald accuses Olaf anyway and Olaf denies the charges. Olaf scorns Svanhild's testimony and Solvi tells Ragnvald to not humiliate Svanhild in front of everyone.
