Vours

Vours are entities that attack people through their fears and steal their souls. They are only able to do this on Sorry Night, the night of the Winter Solstice. Reggie is introduced to the concept of Vours through the journal written by Macie Canfield. Reggie is fascinated but does not believe in the creatures until she notices that Henry has begun to change into something evil.

The Vours can make a person see and feel the most horrible things - in Reggie's case this means being attacked by spiders. In Henry's case, it means being chased by the hatchet-handed clown Berzerko as well as a number of other horrors that are detailed in his fearscape.

Reggie finally sees the Vours in their true form in the Canfield house:
