Chapters 9-12 Summary

Chapter nine finds Andrea spending a typical day at work for Miranda. Finally deciding to wear the clothes that Runway deems appropriate and make her life easier, Andrea takes a cab to work and arrives before seven. Outside the building she is greeted by Benjamin, a former boyfriend of Lily's that treated her badly. Andrea cannot find it in her heart to feel badly for him, but does complain about working for Miranda. Andrea then finds herself proclaiming that Miranda is a very important person, perfecting the Runway Paranoid Turnaround that she has seen so many do before her.

In the lobby Andrea performs a musical duet with Eduardo, the security guard, a task he makes her endure each morning before she can get through the turnstile and enter the building. Finally upstairs and alone Andrea orders Miranda's breakfast, a task...
