Book 4, Pages 154-169 Summary

The commissioner takes her forces into the Tunnel of Love in pursuit of Batman. Instead, they find the Joker's body and see that it is rigged with explosives. Batman waits for them to get close enough to scare them and set it off. He is badly wounded and needs to give himself enough time and space to run from them. He radios to Robin to get the chopper and prepare to leave. Robin agrees, but she has problems of her own as the cops get close to her when the chopper comes in. They see that she is a very young girl. Robin manages to get away and has the chopper find Batman's location. When they get back to the bat cave, Alfred sees how badly wounded Bruce is. He does insist however, that he will live.
