Chapter 16, With Prince Alexi Summary

Prince Alexi sneaks into the chamber as the Queen sleeps and frees Beauty from her chains on the wall. He quietly leads Beauty down a passage leading to a small servant's room where they are finally able to succumb to their passions. Alexi warns Beauty they must not get comfortable and fall asleep or they will be caught and punished severely. When Beauty asks if they would be sent to the village, Prince Alexi responds they could be sent there, though he also says no favorite of the Crown has ever been sent to the village.

Alexi questions why Beauty is so conflicted in her heart. Beauty questions if Alexi feels humiliated as she does by the tasks and punishments. He affirms that he suffers humiliation always, but does it for the pleasure of his mistress, which in turn gives him...
